The first in a series of new work. Videos of 2 minutes in length are shot in strong photographic compositions; they are stills, short blips of reality. Seeking clarity and simplicity the work strives to achieve an honest dialog of its parts. In the piece above a common place urban construct, a chain link fence, Separates 2 parcels of land, each side is the same but the fence provides a clear barrier. The hand of man is obvious, the need to dictate dimensions and boundaries of space. Time is moving forward, small hints of it are apparent with subtle movements of wind and the occasional debris that will come across the screen. With the passage of time the structures will change as well, the vegetation blurs the line of the boundary hinting to the demise of the structure. The never ending struggle between renovation and decay.
